Super Monday

We had a great day today and finished 5 protocols.  The sad thing was we did 1944-46 years and there were literally thousands of German deaths included.  It finally got so bad they listed them in groups in one entry and then said, 'Go look in the German Death Protocol for the names'.  The entry would say 5 German soldiers or 150 German children or 80 German refugees.  I asked Jeppe about it and he said the Germans were blamed for the atrocities that had happened in German installations all over Europe.  He was quite ashamed of how it was.  I explained that there was a lot of hurt and that took time to get over.  War is awful no matter how you shake it.

I did notice that there we people from Berlin and Salzburg that were given status as residents of Copenhagen.  Their names had a Jewish flair to them, so I think they came to Denmark early in the war to get away from the Nazi's.  It was quite a fascinating day.

The sun was up by 7:25 this morning and didn't set until after 5 this afternoon.  Love it!
