This post is earlier than usual because Clyde and I have a party for senior missionaries to attend this evening. I am not looking forward to taking 2 buses and walking in the snow and wind but that is life for the next little while in Denmark.
The glazier said he would call if he could deliver the glass yesterday. We received an email last night that the glass had been delivered about 10 am. We were so frustrated. We waited all day for the call from the glazier and it never came. However, Ani and Jeppe have some suggestions for us keeping the glass scratch free. Ani said there is a type of glass that resists scratches and suggested we order that. She also said to brush the glass table down with a soft bristle brush before cleaning it. We are going to get grittier books for the next little while because sand was used to dry the ink on the page. We are doing a special request by the archive of records from 1795 to 1798 because the books are being rebound and currently they are just loose pages. We are now figuring out how to digitize this with the least amount of hassle. It was interesting because the Archives contacted the head of Family Search to see if it was okay if we stopped our current digitizing and worked on this project. It was okayed by Salt Lake.
We have done our shopping and will have homemade chicken soup for lunch. It is leftovers from the other night. Today just seems like a good day to go with that. Have a good Sabbath.
