Playing Horsey
When Marianne, Bob and I were little, we saw very little of our dad. He was doing his internship and residency in General Medicine at Brooke Army Medical center in San Antonio, Texas and worked a lot of Emergency Room shifts. When we did see him, he would lay on the floor (out of sheer exhaustion, I realize now) and we would jump over him and roll around on him. When he finally had enough, he would rise up and give us horsey rides. Mom snapped this shot of the three of us on his back when Bob was about 1-year-old, so I would have been about 6-years-old and Marianne 3+. This picture was taken in our living room in San Antonio, Texas on Infantry Post.
