December in Denmark

This will be a picture Christmas offering today.  This picture was taken at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning. It was raining and dark like this all day.  In fact this is the lightest it got.

Out the kitchen window at the office on Tuesday morning.  Just to give you an idea of how dark it is most of the time.

Our Danish Advent Kranz.  Clyde hates it because it is glitter and it gets everywhere (but he chose it and bought it).  We added the mushrooms and couldn't find any other green candles but these.  I love it.

Our Christmas corner.  The 'tree' is a bunch of twigs from the flower arrangement Clyde received from the archive.  It is fitting for a Danish Tree.  They use anything for a Christmas tree here.  If they use pine trees then they are usually still potted so they can be planted elsewhere after.  Looking out my window, I see few traditional Christmas trees.

A window arrangement we did with the bits and pieces we had left.  You have now seen all of our Christmas decorations.

Scripture of the day:  Matthew 5:43-44

More jokes:

What kind of bird can write?
~ A pen-guin

What did the big candle say to the little candle?
~ I'm going out tonight

What did the Christmas tree say to the ornament?
Aren't you tired of hanging around?

Love you all

Popi loved your Kranrz. He showed it to Andy and me. We were impressed by the fact that the candles were on a crown of thorns. It is a nice reminder of Christ added to it.
