Advent

When I was a young girl, my family moved to Germany.  Our first Christmas there, Theodore M. Burton and his family invited us to his home for Advent.  We had no idea what this was.  This is the German sister that gave us the story that our family has been repeating the first Sunday of Advent ever since.  Technically you should start Advent 4 Sundays out from Christmas.  Our family does it so it falls the first Sunday of December and then the last one is on Christmas Eve.  My mother started doing it that way and I thought that is how it was supposed to be.  It wasn't until recently I realized that is a Brugger tradition and not traditional.  Happy Advent everyone.
